Mumbai Metro line 3 officials are preparation to conduct loaded trains trials. the metro line is all set to serve the public. There will be eight coaches added to these Mumbai Metro Line 3 trains while leading these tests. Various important factors will be taken into consideration while performing these tests.

Mumbai Metro Line 3

The latest adding to the fast-growing metro network is the Mumbai Metro Line 3. It is also known as the Mumbai Metro Aqua Line or the Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ Line. The Metro Line 3 will be 33.5km long once ready and will have 27 stations starting from Cuffe Parade to Aarey Colony.

Mumbai-Metro Line 3 is chiefly slated to be an underground line which was announced as a Joint Venture between the GOI (Government of India) and the GOM (Government of Maharashtra) on a 50:50 sharing basis. The metro line's construction plan was approved in 2018 at the cost of Rs 23,136 crore.

Mumbai Metro Line 3 Inaugural Status

The first phase of Mumbai Metro Line 3, also known as Aqua Line, is expected to be operational soon. 

·         The Aarey to BKC route's first phase is predictable to be available for public use by May 2024. 

·         MMRC plans to open metro services between BKC (Bandra Kurla Complex)

·         The services will be working on a 9.63-km stretch of Mumbai Metro Line 3 after phase 1 from Aarey Colony to BKC is opened at May-end.

·         The MMRC has obvious to start services on this give instead of waiting for the entire Phase 2 between BKC and Cuffe Parade to be completed.

·         Phase 2 of the BKC-Colaba Metro-3 line will be ready by October 2024. The entire route is expected to cater to 17 lakh passengers every day.

MMRC aims to open the entire 33.5-km corridor of Metro-3 by 2024-end.
